Funding 2016-11-08T16:26:14+00:00

The Center for the New Energy Economy is funded entirely by private support, initially from the San Francisco-based Energy Foundation and the Fort Collins-based Bohemian Foundation. Rockefeller Brothers Fund, The Nature Conservancy, Wells Fargo, Argosy Foundation, and Advanced Energy Economy, among others, have invested in the mission of the Center. All monies are tax-exempt and are directed through the Colorado State University Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.

The Center’s work is supported by a pool of subject-matter experts, contracted as needed, to provide customized technical assistance to the executive, legislative and regulatory branches of state governments. The pool includes experts in public policy, administration, and regulation.

How to Invest in the Center for the New Energy Economy

The Center for the New Energy Economy (CNEE or Center) wishes to enhance its capacity and activities by accepting support from appropriate donors. The Center will accept gifts of cash and in-kind support from corporations, nonprofit foundations, individuals or other entities that supports the mission of the CNEE and respects the Center’s independence.

Check should be addressed to the CSU Foundation and should note the fund you would like to support –- that is, “Center for the New Energy Economy.”
